How it works

Online faxing, explained.

A fax is a phone call that carries an image. We make that call for you from our carrier connection, and turn the result into something you can read in your inbox.

Sending

1
Upload

Choose a PDF, or one or more photos. Photos are converted into a clean Letter-size PDF automatically. We count the pages and quote the exact price.

2
Address and pay

Enter the destination number with the area code. Guests pay per fax on a secure checkout page. Account holders use plan pages or their prepaid balance.

3
Transmission

Our carrier dials the number and negotiates with the receiving machine. Busy lines are retried. Progress shows on your status page in real time.

4
Confirmation

When the last page is acknowledged, the status becomes Delivered and we email you a receipt with the page count and timestamp.

Receiving

1
Pick your number

Plans include a dedicated local number. Choose an area code and the number is live within seconds.

2
Someone faxes you

Their machine calls your number. Our carrier answers, receives every page and converts the transmission into a PDF.

3
Delivered to your inbox

The PDF appears in your dashboard and is emailed to you. Keep it, download it, or delete it from our servers whenever you like.

4
Reply by email

Email a PDF to number@fax.yourdomain.com from your account address and we fax it. No login needed.

Security

Uploads travel over HTTPS. The carrier fetches your document through a single-use link that expires automatically. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and two-factor authentication is available for every account.

Retention

Guest documents are deleted shortly after delivery. Account documents stay until you delete them, so you always have a copy. Delivery records are kept for billing.

Coverage

Send to the United States, Canada and most international destinations. Enter numbers with the country code.
